His unique background includes an MBA in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management (where he later served on the marketing faculty for 25 years), as well as a stint in brand management at The Quaker Oats Company. In no-nonsense fashion, Gene will discuss key revenue management levers, such as controlling resale price and recognizing retailer value by customizing acquisition prices and rewards. Pete Charette, Director Strategic Revenue Management, The Hershey Company
Jack Harnedy, Senior Director Revenue Growth Management, Hostess
There is a ton of data available for consumption by brands; there is no question that quantity isn’t an issue. The discussion at hand is if the data available today is accessible, useful, and able to be strategically applied. Brands need to be able to leverage data for personalization – in other words, to understand what consumers purchase, what motivates behavior, and where deeper vs more balanced investments in consumers make sense. This panel will discuss the data sources available today that they couldn’t do their jobs without, the insights they wish they had access to, where they want the industry to go, and what the convergence of Sales and Marketing means for their data needs and strategy. The real question at hand is if you had a crystal ball, instead of a Magic 8 one, what would you predict would make you a more successful RGM leader?
